For Extra Energy

Having energy while being homeless is extremely crucial. Energy keeps your mind from being so tired that you start having Evil thoughts, energy keeps your body feeling well and healthy, and energy gives you the ability to constantly be on the move which is something that homelessness definitely requires.

The best way that I have personally found to give your body extra energy, is to purchase Iced Tea that contains Ginseng in it. Ginseng is an herb that promotes extra energy for your body. These kinds of teas can be purchased at any gas station, or any local grocery store.

The two best teas taste wise that I have discovered so far are Arizona Iced Tea with Ginseng and Honey, and Xing Iced Tea which is a higher quality tea that is slightly more expensive. Usually gas stations will give you a discount if you purchase more than one. Arizona Iced Tea is the cheapest when purchased from a local grocery store.

Portable Coffee

You can make your own portable coffee anytime anywhere by going into just about any grocery store or gas station and purchasing some instant coffee. Then, get yourself a cup, or preferably a thermos of some kind. Then, just pour some of the instant coffee into the container. Then fill it with water almost all of the way to the top. Then add some sugar, then close the top and shake it. It will be cold coffee, but it will still be good enough to drink.

The instant coffee can last a person anywhere from days to a week. It can be made pretty much anywhere where you can sit down and not make too much of a mess. Day or night.

Why A Folded Plastic Tarp?

Carrying around a folded plastic tarp in a grocery bag is a great idea while being homeless. Since plastic is waterproof, this gives you protection for your whole body against rain. Sometimes it can rain for up to 18 hours in a single day, depending on where you live. Having a folded up plastic tarp with you means the difference between being dry for that whole period of time, or being wet for that whole period of time. Getting underneath the tarp or wrapping it around your whole body works best at protecting yourself under these conditions.

Take Care Of Your Feet

Often times, with the amount of walking that a person can do while being homeless, there can come about health problems related to a person's feet. One such problem can be foot blisters or skin irritations, such as open sores, or red, itchy, and inflamed skin on the ankles and other parts of the foot.

One trick that can be used when such things occur is to fold up a normal plastic grocery bag and to insert the bag into the shoe and to spread it over the sore or area of the foot that is inflamed, to act as a barrier between your foot and your shoe to prevent friction and the rubbing up against your skin every time your shoe touches it while you walk.

By slipping a plastic bag between your wounds and the material from your shoe you can greatly reduce your pain levels and also give your feet more time to heal. :) God Bless.

Take Walks To Stay Sane

Having nothing but time on your hands can drive a person insane. In order to tremendously reduce that possibility, the body must remain in motion for large portions of the day. The quickest, easiest, and most effective way to do this is by walking. Make sure to set aside walk time every single day. Write down a daily routine and daily destinations that you know that you can realistically walk to and from on a daily basis. This will greatly reduce the amount of mental stress that you will experience while being homeless. :)

On Icy Cold Windy Days

On severely cold, icy, wet, windy days, where the wind is blowing constantly on you all throughout the entire day and night, there are a few strategies you can use to stay out of the wind and to reduce the cold you experience.

One of these ways is to find a large bush that is tall enough for you to climb underneath, and to crawl underneath it and rest until the wind stops. The branches and foliage will provide adequate protection against the wind.

Another strategy is to find an empty clean outhouse that you can stand inside of from time to time to warm your body and for protection from the wind. Obviously you will have to leave it at times in order for other people to be able to utilize it.

Always Keep A Bible With You

The Holy Bible is much more than just a book. It is a Spiritual Guidance System, a Knowledge Increaser, a History Book, A Source of Entertainment, A Source of Inspiration, and much much more, all rolled into one.

It is highly recommended that every person keep 1 complete Holy Bible in their bag and with them at all times while being homeless, for various different reasons, but also because it is the single most popular book in the world, and therefore often times can make for a great conversation starter. :)
